Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Take the next step in your healthcare career and join a nationally respected health system that’s defining the future of patient access. At UCLA Health, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading patient access operations that directly impact the patient experience across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments.

As a Patient Access Services Supervisor, you will oversee daily admitting, registration, and financial counseling functions. You’ll manage frontline staff, ensure coverage across all shifts, resolve registration issues, and support Point of Service (POS) collections. Your leadership will be essential to maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations while driving improvements in quality, accuracy, and patient satisfaction. This includes planning and directing daily registration operations, managing personnel development, implementing best practices, and participating in weekend and holiday supervisory rotations.

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise inpatient, emergency, and outpatient registration workflows and oversee daily cashiering operations

  • Plan, organize, and assign work to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant registration across all access points

  • Manage staff schedules, attendance, performance, and training; provide coaching and corrective action as needed

  • Support POS collection targets by guiding staff and addressing discrepancies or process variances

  • Collaborate with clinical departments and administrative teams to resolve access or registration issues

  • Evaluate and implement patient access policies and procedures; lead staff improvement plans as needed

  • Participate in a weekend/holiday rotation, serving as the on-site supervisor for all access areas

  • Ensure readiness during system downtimes and contribute to revenue cycle denial resolution and compliance reviews

Salary Range: $30.56–$60.82 hourly
