Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Operations - Ambulatory Pharmacy, you will coordinate and supervise operations for our Ambulatory Pharmacy Services department. This will include overseeing clinical activities and in-office dispensing to deliver outstanding patient care, as well as implementing and optimizing clinical pharmacy programs to ensure compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulations.   

 

You will:

• Handle staff supervision, hiring, training, assessment,  and discipline

• Cultivate and model a collegial, professional, cooperative relationship with pharmacy staff, medical professionals, support, and administrative staff

• Demonstrate effective, innovative problem-solving

• Adapt to the challenges of a rapidly changing health care environment

• Advance a patient-centric focus to treat illness with integrity, innovation, and commitment

• Ensure collaboration and standardization of workflows with UCLA’s specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacies, pharmacy lead clinical programs and transitions of care

• Introduce new programs and ongoing ambulatory pharmacy process enhancements 

 

Annual Salary Range - $124,600 - $289,400

Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a strong, independent clinical leader with current California Pharmacy licensure, a PharmD degree and:

 

• Four or more years of ambulatory or outpatient pharmacy experience 

• Strong communication, organizational, prioritizing, and follow-through skills

• Knowledge of clinical, ambulatory and dispensing workflows

• CSP or equivalent board certification preferred

• Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) licensure is  desirable
