Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You will manage purchasing, contract administration, and inventory control processes for the procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and other related products. This will involve the expert management of relationships with primary wholesalers and other vendors. You will be responsible for oversight and compliance with the purchasing aspects of the 340B Drug Pricing Program.  You will:


Provide oversight for drug shortages

Implement, execute, and monitor pharmacy cost savings initiatives

Supervise pharmacy storeroom personnel

Ensure compliance with federal, state, university, and departmental guidelines

Salary Range: $95,900 - $222,100

Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with:

California Pharmacy technician license
Four years of directly related experience in a similar healthcare system 
In-depth knowledge of all purchasing practices
Ability to foster positive, cooperative working relationships with staff
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritizing skills
Ability to perform well with frequent interruptions and distractions
Knowledge of all relevant state and federal regulations
Understanding of California State Board of Pharmacy, University of California, and federal rules and regulations governing pharmacies
