Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a part-time Physical Therapist III to join our Orthopedic Surgery Department. You will play a key role in helping patients restore mobility and regain independence. Primary duties include:

  • Deliver age-appropriate assessments and therapeutic interventions
  • Review patient charts and conduct thorough evaluations using standardized assessment tools
  • Identify and prioritize physical and functional limitations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable short-and long-term goals
  • Administer safe and effective therapy procedures
  • Determine appropriate frequency and duration of treatments
  • Provide patient and family education, including at-home programs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support seamless discharge planning
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation
Salary range: $60.15/hr - $76.27/hr

Job Qualifications

California Physical Therapy License

Valid BCLS Certification (AHA or ARC)

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist

Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive movements (bending, squatting, standing, etc.) throughout an 8-10 hour shift

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team

Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g. word processing, email systems)

Strong clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological condition, including ability to design and implement effective treatment plans
