Primary Duties and Responsibilities


The Physician Assistant (PA) functions in an interdependent role under a delegation agreement, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across the continuum of treatment. Responsibilities include performing health histories, physical examinations, developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating care, providing patient and family education, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, and ensuring continuity of care through appropriate referrals and documentation, as well as other duties as assigned. 

Salary range: $83.46- $112.31/hourly

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC-required
  • California Physician Assistant License-required
  • National Board Certification-required
  • Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant-required
  • NPI, DEA, PECOS, and CURES enrollment
  • Previous Physician Assistant experience required; colorectal surgery or other relevant surgical specialty experience preferred
  •  Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required
  •  Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative,
  • clinical and academic personnel-required
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required
  •  Ability to set priorities-required
  •  Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
