Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This is an amazing opportunity for an APP to join the Thoracic Surgery service. This role has a combination of inpatient and clinic responsibilities for thoracic surgery patients.  

The physician assistant (PA) functions in an interdependent role via a delegation agreement.  By using the delegation agreement the PA is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings.  The PA will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care.  The PA also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.

PA: $72.77 -97.92/ hourly

SR. PA :must have relevant exp: $82.40- 110.87/hourly

Job Qualifications


  • Graduated from a PA program (Master's preferred)- required 
  • CA PA license and National PA Board certification- required
  • NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment on CURES- required.
  • BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC- required
  • Previous thoracic surgery APP experience -preferred
