In this role you will be responsible for the delivery and collection of patient menus and meal trays for assigned patients in the hospital. You will help ensure that patients receive appropriate trays and snacks within specified time frames, set up service lines, meal assembly, dish and pot washing, as well as assist with the sanitation of the kitchen. Additionally, you will maintain nourishment supplies on the nursing unit pantry.
This position may be required to work at multiple UCLA Health sites, including the Santa Monica Hospital and Ronald Reagan Medical Center. May convert to Career.

- Able to read and write standard English.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes.
- Knowledge of general and nutrient modified diets.
- Ability to work in standing position for a long period of time; stretch, bend walks, stoops, and reaches repetitively.
- Ability to work in hot, cold and/or wet areas, lift (40) pounds, push loaded carts weighing (350) pounds.
- Ability to conform to dress code according to infection prevention needs and policies.
- Ability to practice safe food handling techniques.
- Must have the ability to adjust to fluctuating work load and adhere to production schedules.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors and managers.
