Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Policy Analyst for the Embedded Clinical Research & Innovation Unit (ECRI) will be hired as a hybrid position flexible to working as an on-site and off-site coordinator based on project needs. In this role, you will support multiple studies for the unit which would require engaging routinely with UCLA patients, clinic staff and principal investigators. 

As our Project Policy Analyst, you will help support research implementation and incoming projects as assigned. Your duties will include the following: describing research studies to interested participants and answering questions about the nature and involvement of the study, screening, designing recruitment materials while using innovative tools, survey collection, consenting, medical record data entry, and study outcomes tracking. You will also: 

  • Work to consent, navigate patient research participation and be a support coordinator for several on site & off site projects.
  • Work to provide administrative support for a diverse type of research projects taken on by the ECRI team.
  • Assist in developing strong work flow for projects and in patient trouble shooting workflows.
  • Be responsible for data tracking and analysis of study patient tracking outcomes
  • Other administrative tasks including but not limited to, faxing, scanning, making class, supply stocking, scheduling meetings, addressing patient concerns and data reporting.
Salary Range: $26.48-$53.40 Hourly
     

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2 years of prior research experience or experience with patients in clinical setting.
  • Technical skills in smart devices and good technology proficiency.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellence in customer service and show empathy in sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply techniques of patient-centered counseling and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a diverse group of physicians, colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with research recruitment.
  • Familiarity with UCLA medical center or similar organization computing systems and demonstrated ability to learn and utilize other databases and administrative software.
