The RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab based within the Interventional Services department provides comprehensive patient care before, during and after procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operation of devices such as IABP, Impella, IVUS and atherectomy/thrombectomy equipment as well as procedural monitoring and recovery support.
The Cath Lab Clinical Nurse II (CN2) embodies the essence of professional Registered Nursing, assuming both responsibility and accountability for patients within a designated time frame. Utilizing the nursing process and collaborative input from the healthcare team, the CN2 delivers comprehensive care. They exemplify the professional standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA), actively engaging in ethical considerations, educational endeavors, evidence-based practice, and research. Additionally, they champion quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate leadership prowess, foster collaboration among peers, evaluate professional practice, optimize resource utilization, promote environmental health, and advocate for patients as integral components of clinical nursing practice.
Our ideal candidate brings prior nursing experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment.
Salary Range: $91.84 Hourly
Job Qualifications

- BSN or MSN – required
- Current California RN license – required
- ACLS, BCLS and PALS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association – required
- At least 2 years of recent Cath Lab interventional procedure experience – required
- Knowledge of hemodynamic waveforms and monitoring, and can operate IABP, Impella, Rotablator, IVUS, and FFR
- Willingness to cross train to Interventional Radiology and cover outpatient areas
- Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
- Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
- Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
- Ability to wear lead and stand for long periods of time
- Able to cover on call with 30 minute response
- Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
