Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the Operative suite, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.  In collaboration with physicians, and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. Plans and delivers safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred from his/her care to the recovery R.N. Performs duties of the circulating or scrub role in caring for all age patients.   The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Contributes to the company’s mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process for the nursing care rendered from admission until patient is discharged from the facility and has left the premises.

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN, required.

Current and valid California RN license required.

OR experience ASC exp required

Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Must have before start date

Advanced cardiac life Support (ACLS)  - Must have before start date

Pediatric Life Support (PALS) - required

ophthalmology experience - preferred
