Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide reception, clerical, and organizational assistance to the Rehab Services director and staff. You will also assist patients and therapy staff in a professional and friendly manner.  Additionally, you will assist with office duties that include but are not limited to greeting and scheduling patients, verifying insurances, registering patients, and managing supplies and inventory.



Salary: $25.60-$36.33 Hourly

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. 
  • Familiarity with basic computer functions including word processing programs and online mail systems.
  • Working knowledge of payor billing requirements, on-line billing system, and CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-9 codes for Rehabilitation Services 
  • Working knowledge of scheduling system. 
  • Working knowledge of Word, and Excel and willing to learn Access and the mainframe interface. 
  • Skill in working in distracting and pressured environments with flexibility, good concentration, and minimal supervision.
  • Skill in setting priorities with fluctuating demands and workloads. 
  • Ability to operate an office copier and printer, including knowledge of various features, loading and unloading paper, installing toner and clearing paper jams.
  • Working knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and prosthetics and orthotics treatments and terminology. 
  • Ability to proofread written material for spelling and grammar.
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience in the medical field or outpatient rehabilitation field preferred.
