Primary Duties and Responsibilities

UCLA West Valley Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathology Supervisor to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Speech Pathology services, directly supervise clinical staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

You will manage departmental workflow, establish procedures to enhance team performance, and provide direct evaluation and treatment to patients with a variety of diagnoses. This role also involves working closely with clinic managers to improve operational processes and flexing between clinic locations as needed to support both administrative and patient care needs.

Salary Range: $102,500.00-$227,700 Annually

Job Qualifications

Required:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Pathology
  • Valid licenses from the State of California in Speech Pathology
  • At least 8 years as a practicing speech pathologist
  • At least 2 years in a supervisor or lead role
  • High level of clinical skill to evaluate and treat patients
  • Experience mentoring speech pathologists
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex environment
  • Ability to train, mentor and guide employees in Speech Pathology service procedures and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and members of the healthcare team across the continuum of care
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with assigned staff, patients, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Knowledge and ability to monitor compliance with relevant Speech Pathology patient care/equipment management, federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Ability to evaluate issues and identify solutions within defined procedures and policies
  • Ability to solve problems and suggest solutions through critical thinking process

Preferred:
  • ASHLA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology
  • MBSS and FEES competent
