As the Research Administrator 2 for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Research Administration team, you will manage all pre-and post-award duties for portfolios consisting of federal, state, local and private sponsors. Primary duties include:
•Manage assigned portfolio of intramural and extramural funds, from proposal and preparation to fund closeouts
•Prepare and manage invoicing, reconcile ledgers to ensure proper spending, and project salary and expenses
•Review proposal terms and final documents to ensure sponsor rules and guidelines are met
•Serve as the administrative liaison to coordinate, organize, and retrieve documents from sub-award participants
The full hourly salary range for this position is $30.56/hour - $60.82/year. Please note – the department’s target pay range is $30.56/hour - $36.00/hour.
Job Qualifications

• Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional policies pertaining to extramural funding.
• Strong communication skills to articulate policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with UC research administration policies regarding pre-award administration, proposal development, contracts and grant awards, subcontracts – preferred.
