Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The UCLA Center for Cannabis and Cannabinoids is in need of a full time Staff Research Assistant I. You will assist The Principal Investigator and her research team with various clinical research tasks. Job duties for the research assistant include: 

  • Conducting screening interviews for studies in person and by phone
  • Consenting of participants
  • Conducting study procedures
  • Collecting and managing data
  • Assisting participants with questionnaires
  • Operating and cleaning laboratory equipment
  • Other laboratory and administrative tasks as needed.
Pay Range: $26.52 - $31.63 hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients, volunteers and the public on the phone and in person. 
  • Must have strong computer skills, proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs - especially Microsoft Excel. 
  • Ability to compile and track data. 
  • Skill in stabling priorities, working independently and completing assignments in a timely manner. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust workload. 
  • Knowledge of University library system. 
  • Working knowledge of PubMed and End Note. 
  • BS or BA or equivalent experience
