Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Unlock the potential of data with us! As a Research Data Programmer, you'll work closely with Dr. Rhee, conducting intermediate-level, sophisticated statistical analyses using vast national databases and prospective datasets. Your exciting responsibilities encompass refining, updating, and merging complex data sets, performing in-depth data analyses, documenting your insights, using cutting-edge algorithms, and creating impactful data visuals. Join our collaborative lab meetings and have a hand in mentoring students, support staff, and fellow analysts under the guidance of Dr. Rhee. 

Salary: $32.95 - $67.53/hour


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems effectively.
  • Expertise in data collection, cleaning, and consolidation using tools like Excel, SPSS, or R.
  • Familiarity with data modeling procedures.
  • Strong SQL/PL-SQL skills and database management experience.
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Proficiency in data processing tools like Access and Excel.
  • Experience in SAS, STATA, R, or SQL.
  • Strong quantitative skills for data interpretation and visualization.
  • Advanced training in program evaluation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of research contract and grant administration.
  • Ability to support high-level executives and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain discretion regarding sensitive matters.
Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related fields with advanced coursework in Statistics.
  • Familiarity with university and departmental policies.
  • Experience in project development, evaluation design, or applied research in health and human services.
