Primary Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Research Scheduler to participate in research scheduling activities as part
of the clinical research team located at team located at UCLA/UCLA Santa Monica and Westwood
while under the direction of the supervisor, investigators, Financial Administrative Office, Faculty
Director, Medical Director, and Senior Research Director (Senior Management) of the JCCC CRU.
You will be responsible for scheduling research patients within the oncology clinics, radiology,
cardiology, and other departments, as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for engaging
with the research patients to inform them of their schedules and any changes. Provide
administrative and patient care support to the clinics with regards to scheduling, patient flow, and
registration.

Hourly range: $30.36 - $43.49

Job Qualifications


Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet internal deadlines, work independently, use judgment and make decisions.
  • Ability to organize and update paperwork with supervision
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with physicians and staff in high volume setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitating the appointment making process, including transportation arrangements and maintaining sub-specialty physician schedules.
  • Skill in demonstrating work experience with a database computer program.
  • Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems to complete on-line transactions, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, the encounter registrations, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, the encounter registration system, hospital lab results and medical reports.
