Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Salesforce Application Technical Lead looking to drive innovation and efficiency in application workflows? We are seeking a strategic problem solver with deep expertise in Salesforce development and support to lead our integrated work area.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Application Manager, the Application Technical Lead serves as the primary expert in Salesforce application development, overseeing a team dedicated to optimizing workflows and enhancing system capabilities. This role requires in-depth knowledge of operational requirements, constraints, and best practices to ensure seamless application performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Salesforce application development and support team, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Analyze and recommend application enhancements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Define build objectives, manage configuration, stabilization, and augmentation, ensuring optimal application performance.
  • Collaborate with team members, business leaders, and stakeholders to align system functionalities with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices, security protocols, and industry standards to maintain system integrity.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience in Salesforce application development and technical support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex workflows.

This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least once a month, and as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the “home office” location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.

Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $112,900  $256,900 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

Required Skills and Abilities

·       Must have certifications required to support the Salesforce

·       Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of focus in application specialty areas.  Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.

·       Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision making.

·       Must be detail oriented and have a knack for probing for information, in order to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how a system should be configured/ organized.

·       Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks.

·       Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds, at all levels.

·       Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation.

·       Superior organizational skills.

·       Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.

·       Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to recognize problems, evaluate, and refer to the appropriate channels for action.

·       Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, support, and work collaboratively with business owners, team members, and management.

·       Technical Skills required include but are not limited to: Salesforce declarative configuration and set-up, Salesforce Apex development, Lightning Web Component Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and SOQL/SQL. Understanding and learning other programming languages may be necessary. Tooling skills include but are not limited to: Visual Studio Code, Git/Github, Jenkins/Github Actions, Jira, and Servicenow. The candidate should understand Object Oriented Programming and standards such as but not limited to REST/SOAP, JSON, YAML, oAuth/JWT and SWAGGER. Healthcare industry standards such as HL7 and FHIR are highly desirable.

 Required Knowledge and Experience

·       Demonstrate proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems.

·       Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design

·       Bachelor’s Degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
