Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide speech pathology services to patients in the acute setting at both Westwood and Santa Monica campuses
  • Perform clinical swallow evaluations, MBSS, FEES, and treatment for patients with dysphagia
  • Perform communication/cognition evaluation and treatment
  • Cover weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must be available to cover 2 holidays per year and 2 weekend dates per month

Salary range: 68.30-83.46 hourly


Job Qualifications

  • California State Speech Pathology license
  • Able to efficiently learn new computer and clinic systems
  • Possess a high level of clinical skill to work with complex medical and social situations
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent documentation abilities
  • Must have recent experience practicing in the inpatient hospital setting
  • Experience with MBSS and FEES is required
  • Experience with communication/cognition evaluation and treatment required
  • Experience with pediatrics is a plus
