Primary Duties and Responsibilities

We are urgently seeking a Student Researcher skilled in image processing, registration, and segmentation. Ideal candidates will have a background in signal processing, bioengineering, physics, computer science, or applied math.

The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate UCLA student. 

Salary: $18.00 - $38.50 hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • A proven ability to work independently while following protocols as guideline and to assess situations, problem solve or consult as appropriate, and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and experience communicating with a diverse population, in order to recruit participants and conduct interviews
  • Experience working with a diverse research population.
  • Skills in working with colleagues in a cooperative manner.
  • Knowledge of basic statistical tests and procedures related to data management and selection of descriptive tests for summarizing data.
  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations for Human Subject Protection and informed consent.
  • Currently registered as a UC student
Preferred:
  • Knowledge and experience with MatLab, C++, Python, Tensorflow, or similar software
