As an Ultrasound Technician, you'll work closely with Radiologists to deliver excellent patient care. You'll leverage your expertise to perform Ultrasound procedures autonomously, showcasing your technical skillset and keen judgment. Beyond imaging, you'll play a vital role in assisting Radiologists during biopsies, relying on your deep understanding of anatomy.
 
Additionally, you'll also step into various non-technical roles within Radiology as needed, from clerical tasks to receptionist duties.
 
 
 
Salary Range: $67.07-$67.07 Hourly 
 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • RDMS license (AB or OBGYN)
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Obtains, evaluates and uses information from the patient requisition, medical records and referring physician and correlates with acquired images
  • Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
  • Understand the requirements of the EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act)
 
Preferred:
  • At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital
  • Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program
  • AAS or higher in Medical Sonography
