Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Front Desk Administrative Assistant is responsible for overseeing a broad range of tasks that support the daily operations of an academic or non-academic organization. This role provides vital administrative support, including planning and development activities, interpreting and analyzing information related to policies and procedures, and managing special projects or assignments that may be moderately sensitive or complex. These tasks require a high degree of independence, initiative, and discretion.

In addition, the Front Desk Administrative Assistant handles confidential and critical matters with professionalism and attention to detail. They are expected to exercise sound judgment in determining appropriate methods and techniques for problem-solving and achieving effective solutions.

Salary Range: $29.42 - $42.14 Hourly


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience.
  • Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient knowledge of common computer application programs (MSOffice Suite- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Solid and proven analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
