Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the ordering, management, and distribution of procedural supplies throughout the distribution of medical supplies throughout the Medical Center and/or Ambulatory clinics ensuring the clinical staff have all the supplies they need for patient care. 

Duties include:

· Work closely with the clinical staff to adjust targeted inventory levels based on current usage to best align with upcoming procedures.

· Distribution of supplies and equipment as assigned within all facilities at UCLA Health System.

· Deliveries may include driving university vehicles to transport supplies and equipment to UCLA community clinics (subject to DMV Pull).

· Update supply formulary and targeted par levels within supply management software.

· Place supply replenishment orders using a handheld device or supply management software.

· Maintain and update ordering bar codes on supply bin locations.

· Receive / transport supply orders from dock and reconcile packing slips against ordered quantities.

· Identify inventory cost reduction opportunities based on usage, alternatives, and expiring product.

· Communicate inventory availability using back ordered and on-order bin location stickers.

· Pick supplies.

· Assemble custom supply packs by procedure type to help expedite surgical preparations.

· Provide inventory on-hand counts to support department weekly back ordered items reports.

· Assist clinical staff in reconciling supplies used during procedures for billing purposes.

Selected candidate will be placed on a Level 1 or 2 role depending on experience. 

Salary Range: $24.49 - $29.26

Job Qualifications

California Driver's License (subject to DMV Pull)

· Ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds. ability to use computer and mobile scan.

· Willingness to comply with healthcare regulations for infection control, including masking.

· Self-starter with effective time management and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work as a team in a fast-paced environment

· Flexibility to changes in workload, assignments, and schedules across different shifts and weekends.

· Organized to stay current in required HR online competency classes on policy and safety between tasks.

· Consistently maintain a safe, clean working environment and report unsafe acts or conditions.

· A high proficiency in English to articulate issues, concerns, and responses verbally and electronically.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with clinical interruptions for supply requests.

· Actively participates in Quality Management and PIE programs.; adheres to Materials Management and UCLA policies/procedures.

· Ability to attend all workshops, classes, drills, etc as requested.
