Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this Clinical Social Worker role in our Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital's Inpatient Unit, you will work with patients who are psychiatrically hospitalized. You will facilitate group sessions, assess new patients, engage patients in safety planning, create treatment plans, and ensure patients have safe discharge plans that will allow them to thrive once back in the community. You will work directly with patients, families, and a team of interdisciplinary clinicians and social workers.

CSW 2 Salary range: $51.18 - $61.14 Hourly

CSW 3 Salary range: $55.63 - $66.48 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from an accredited institution
  • California State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or license eligible
  • Knowledge of community resources for persons with mental illness, and understanding of mental health systems
  • Knowledge of laws and procedures related to child and elder/dependent adult abuse
  • Knowledge of LPS laws related to psychiatric holds and patients’ rights
  • Knowledge of DSM and related treatment approaches; trained in at least 1 evidence-based treatment modality
  • Ability to plan and conduct therapeutic groups
