Take on a rewarding role in a world-class health organization. The operating room Assistant is under direct supervision of charge Nurse and RN circulator in the performance of job duties. The O.R. Assistant is responsible for, cleaning of the operating room suites, and assistance to nursing staffing preparing patients for surgery, gathering supplies and equipment, maintenance of storage areas and performing necessary errands related to patient care. The incumbent also works closely with the charge nurse in caring out activities related to the surgical services schedule. The incumbent also takes direction from circulating nurse for patient care needs.

Required:
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job: lift, carry, push or pull 50lbs or more.
- Dextrality to operate equipment.
- Communication skills to take direction or instructions.
- Ability to articulate with a diverse and a multidisciplinary team.
- Awareness of potential exposure to injury of hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of disinfectants.
- Knowledge of infection control, AORN and AAMI other standards related to job function.
- Knowledge of government regulations.
