The Per Diem Registered Dietitian (RD) provides medical nutrition therapy to patients with complex conditions in a large, fast-paced academic setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments, developing individualized care plans, documenting in the electronic health record, and delivering patient education. The RD implements and monitors nutrition interventions, including diagnosing malnutrition, performing Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE), managing therapeutic diets, and overseeing enteral and parenteral nutrition.
This role supports patients across the lifespan, from NICU and pediatric populations to adults and geriatric patients, including NPH. The Per Diem RD collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, medical staff, ancillary departments, and food service personnel. Participation in departmental activities, meetings, and performance improvement initiatives is also expected.
Salary Range: $49.73-58.00/hr
Job Qualifications

Registered Dietician Certification required
Minimum of two years of inpatient clinical experience required
Experience in an academic hospital setting preferred
*Internship experience does not count toward required experience
