Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Associate to support translational cancer research. This role focuses on both in vivo and in vitro experimental models and will be integral to advancing studies in glioblastoma and related disease areas. The incumbent will contribute to the execution and coordination of animal studies, laboratory experiments, and day-to-day research operations, working collaboratively with senior scientists, animal care staff, and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality experimental execution, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. This position is well-suited for a technically skilled and highly organized individual eager to contribute to innovative, team-based research in a dynamic academic setting.

Hourly range: $28.69-$34.21

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic understanding of biology
  • Organized and detail-oriented; maintains up-to-date, accurate and organized schedules and records on a timely basis
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, etc.
  • Skilled at working with spreadsheets, databases, and email; Ability to follow directions and to both work independently and to work well with a team when needed
  • Ability to keep laboratory space clean, safe and organized
  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field and or equivalent combination of education & experience
