Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our laboratory studies the cell biology of immune cell development from human stem cells, with the long term goal of understanding how T cells are produced in normal development and in disease states, and developing methods to generate T cells  from stem cells for immunotherapy. We are seeking an experienced Staff Research Associate with strong organizational skills to support the lab activities. The SRA will also perform a broad range of experimental procedures, including pluripotent stem cell culture, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, RNA/DNA extraction, real time PCR, and viral vector cloning and preparation. Key responsibilities include:

Manage all purchasing activities, including ordering reagents and consumables, and serving as the primary point of contact with vendors and sales representatives. 

Maintain immunodeficient and immunocompetent mouse colonies, including breeding, weaning, bone marrow transplantation, survival surgeries, imaging, and tissue/blood sampling.

Communicate with funding offices regarding project requirements and updates.

Coordinate with vendors, representatives, and technical specialists to support experimental workflows.

Oversee undergraduate personnel, including training and scheduling.

Manage Material Transfer Agreements.

Prepare standard operating procedures and lab protocols under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Salary Range: $71,845.41 – $115,537.00/year


Job Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience such as tissue culture and molecular biology.

Experience with mouse handling preferred. 

Experience with flow cytometry analysis preferred. 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Flexibility to work after-hours based on operational needs.
