The Department of Medicine is seeking a collaborative and highly motivated Staff Research Associate 3 to support an innovative portfolio of multi-institutional research studies spanning clinical medicine, translational science, and emerging areas such as AI-enabled healthcare.
Under general supervision, the Staff Research Associate will play a key role across the full research lifecycle, including study start-up, IRB submissions and regulatory coordination, participant recruitment and retention, and day-to-day study operations. This position provides advanced technical, regulatory, and administrative support across multiple complex protocols while partnering closely with interdisciplinary research teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and analytical skills, knowledge of clinical research processes and compliance requirements, and an interest in contributing to impactful scientific work through literature reviews, grant support, and manuscript preparation and submission.
Annual range: $71,845.41-$115,537.00

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluency in using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access) for survey preparation, administration, data collection, and communication
- Experience in data collection/study recruitment and participant enrollment procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing for successful interaction with diverse audiences
- Experience with developing digital advertising, marketing, social media promotion, and website design
- Experience with IRB procedures
- Experience with community outreach and community-based organizations
- Experience in summarizing and presenting data for reports and presentations
- Skill in working on multiple projects simultaneously and in setting priorities
- Strong problem solving skills
Preferred:
- Fluency is Spanish
- Skill in EndNote reference management
- Experience with the UCLA Health system
